A Story Full of Promise
In 2000, four people founded Umantis in Switzerland—right in the midst of the Internet boom. The name combines “(h)uman” and “tis” (technology). This led to the creation of one of the first software solutions for talent management.
From 2012 to 2023, Umantis was part of the Haufe Group as its IT division specializing in talent and recruiting management. Since 2023, Umantis has been the HR center of excellence for the Abacus Group—a win-win partnership that provides a comprehensive suite of solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region.
